Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) : The Northeast’s leading organization of professionals and concerned citizens working in sustainable energy and whole systems thinking.
Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) : "Our mission is to promote energy efficiency in homes, buildings and industry in the Northeast U.S. through regionally coordinated programs and policies that increase the use of energy efficient products, services and practices, and that help achieve a cleaner environment and a more reliable and affordable energy system."
MCAN's List of Allied & Community Climate Action Organizations : Mass. Climate Action Network maintains a list of Massachusetts local and community climate action groups, organized by town. Go to this list to find a group in or near your town.
The Energy Network : The Energy Network is a group of citizens promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in Massachusetts towns. The group shares ideas and methods for cutting energy costs - both municipal and residential - and for reducing our carbon footprint. Currently, the Energy Network includes members from 17 Massachusetts communities, largely from Groton to Framingham, and Sterling to Weston.
Harvard Local : A grassroots organization in Harvard, Massachusetts, open to anyone interested in seeking local community solutions to the two major challenges of our times: global warming and the coming end of cheap fossil fuels. Boxborough Local : Boxborough Local is a community group focused on energy independence, local food, and other aspects of sustainable living.
Bolton Energy Committee : Formed in April 2007, the Bolton Energy Committee has identified several goals for the town and residents: to benchmark energy usage of all town buildings and identify ways to reduce consumption, including influencing plans for new development; to help residents of Bolton gain access to information and education to make “cleaner” choices for their energy needs; to offer hands-on workshops, seminars, and other educational programs about energy consumption, improving home energy efficiency, etc. Click here for more information about upcoming meetings and events.
