Community Dinner Thanks

Hear this from your Team Captain -- thank you, Groton Local, for
co-sponsoring last night's August Groton Community Dinner at First Parish
Church.  You did a fine job and Groton Local proud!  I'll screw up if I
try to acknowledge everyone by name -- you know who you are.  Together, we
"fielded" cobbler cooks, cole slaw cooks (we put the red and the green
kinds together and dubbed the result "Confetti Salad"), tomato salad
chefs, veggie entree cooks, cabbage and basil and tomato growers,

Update 8/14/09

WE have another week to fill 2-3 slots for dish crew 5:45-8 PM (this
requires sainted people with stamina!), 2 dessert platers 6:15-7:15 PM, 3
clean-up crew 7-9 PM (my observation from July was that it didn't take
this long to finish), and 5 people willing to make cole slaw (or fewer
cooks willing to make a double recipe) -- see recipe attached.  What's the
best way to get this updated "help wanted" information circulated,
